| Frame
The 40/4 chair frame is fabricated from
7/16” steel rod possessing all the physical qualities
to assure ample strength and rigidity. The back pan support,
rear leg and side seat rail are all formed from a single rod.
The rear seat rail, which follows the contour of the rear edge
of the seat pan, is securely attached to the rear leg, where
it is joined by the side seat rail. The front cross member is
likewise attached securely to the front legs without the use
of exposed fasteners

and Back Pans
Both
pans are formed metal. They have been contoured to fit the body
as precisely as possible to provide optimum comfort for tall-
or short persons over extended periods of time. These pans have
3/16” rolled-rim edges for safe handling and improved
appearance.
